Yes! Hard to believe but we were indeed founded way back in 1942. Over 70 years of history, adventure and experience runs through our veins but here's the question - are we stuck in the past?

We believe that Scouting in today's world should be a fun combination of our more traditional activities such as fire-lighting, survival camps, lashings and navigating with what the modern world can offer. We offer activities such as archery, air rifle shooting, canoeing & kayaking, fencing and paintball.

Sounds fun right? But here's the weird part...

​

By doing all of these amazing and adventurous activities you are also... wait for it... LEARNING!

​

All the activities and programmes we run for our Young People lay the foundations for them to build on crucial skills and understandings that will help them throughout life; including teamwork, leadership, home skills and a fundamental understanding and respect for other people, their cultures and belief, and also the world around them.

​

And who is able to provide these amazing activities and these useful skills?

​

Our amazing volunteer Leaders, who give up their time to give the youth of today the experiences of a lifetime. That's right, they don't get paid for what they do, they do it because they genuinely enjoy it and they get to see the fun and happiness that they experienced in their young years reflected in our Young Members.
