SMALL? YES. FIERCE? YES.

SCARED OF ANYTHING? NO.

You may think that's a joke but Beavers can give the adults a good run for their money on bravery and adventure seeking. They are the youngest section in Scouting, consisting of boys and girls (and the odd teddy bear or two) aged between 6 and 8 years old but with the hearts of lions (and the ability to make the adults wish we'd stayed in bed). They are easily identifiable in their turquoise blue Beaver jumper and can normally be heard from a great distance.

So, what do Beavers do?

Whilst there is some limitations based on their age, it certainly doesn't stop them. On a weekly basis they take part in games, make lots of new friends and do lots of work to earn some really cool badges like the Science Badge , or the Road Safety Badge. They also do activities such as sleepovers, movie nights and they can now even go camping. The best part is that they learn skills as they go which help aid their growth whilst encouraging the fun and adventure they crave.
