When Cubs reach 10.5 they move onto the main stage of Scouting - Scouts.

Consisting of boys and girls aged from 10.5 to 14.5, Scouts guides Cubs into their moody teenage years, enhancing the experiences and skills learnt through Beavers and Cubs. Well, I say moody. There has never been, nor will there ever be, such a thing as a moody Scout. With badges like the Astrology, Dragon Boating, and Mechanics, why would they ever be moody?

Scouting really reaches it's peak at the Scouts level in fun, adventure but also skill learning, with an increased emphasis on responsibility, leadership and teamwork - all skills needed for their schoolwork and later careers.

These skills combined with activities such as white water rafting, rifle shooting, axe throwing, and international trips, its a wonder why more parents don't encourage their moody teenagers to come along and try on their very own teal green uniform shirts.
